Every year, nearly 500,000 large vehicle (known as tractor-trailers or "semis") are involved in trucking accidents in the United States. Approximately 5,000 of these truck collisions result in fatalities, and more than 100,000 result in serious personal injury. In fact, one out of every eight traffic fatalities is caused by an accident involving a large truck. Many technical factors can cause a truck accident, and it is for this reason that these specific lawsuits require personal injury lawyers who have a lot of experience in tractor-trailer collisions. The following are some of the more common causes for a trucking accident:
Improper driver training and experience
Use of drugs and alcohol by the truck driver

The lawsuit involving Roundup states that Monsanto failed to warn users of the increased risk of developing non-Hodgkin lymphoma and other forms of cancer.
Plaintiff attorneys claim Monsanto has known for more than 30 years there is a link between the use of Roundup and cancer. However, the company intentionally made the decision not to warn the public, and even marketed the product to be as safe as table salt and practically non-toxic to humans, pets, birds and fish.
Litigation documents show that Monsanto created fake data and attacked legitimate studies exposing the dangers of glyphosate, and created a campaign of misinformation to convince government agencies, farmers, and the general population that its herbicide was safe. If you think you may have a case, call us for help at (334) 222-0544.

All-terrain vehicles, or ATVs, are some of the most popular recreational vehicles in the United States. Unfortunately, they are also potentially deadly. Because of the design and power output of ATVs, they pose a serious rollover risk. Every year, nearly 150,000 people require emergency medical treatment because of ATV accidents, costing the lives of an estimated 900 people. Sadly, these injuries are often tragically preventable, caused by design or manufacturing flaws.
If you or someone you love has been injured as the result of an ATV accident, the ATV rollover lawyers of the Scherf Law Firm may be able to help you and your family get the financial compensation you deserve. You should not be left paying medical expenses and the other costs of a serious injury when someone else is to blame. Call us for help at (334) 222-0544.

The lawsuit involving talcum powder states the manufacturers failed to warn users of the increased risk of ovarian cancer caused by using talc-based products for personal hygiene use.
Attorneys claim the manufacturers have known for more than 40 years there is a link between talc and ovarian cancer. However, these companies intentionally made the decision not to warn women that the powder could cause cancer by entering the vagina after being applied to the genital area or on sanitary napkins or condoms.
The main talc products used for personal hygiene are: Johnson’s Baby Powder by Johnson & Johnson; Shower to Shower by Valeant Pharmaceuticals; and Baby Magic Baby Powder.
